I was looking into this sort of thing recently as I'm living in Norway for a year and need iPlayer. If the show is actually available online in the US on something equivalent to iPlayer, say on Hulu or I think HBO may have their own online service, then you can access from outside the US through a proxy server. For UK stuff there's a free one called Expat Shield which works well but you're bombarded with adverts. I'm not sure if something like that exists for the US. The other option is paid services which are add free. There's a UK one I found for £5 a month, but I trialled one called Identity Cloaker as they have proxy servers all over the world, so I can access the online services of UK, Europe, US, Australia etc etc. Works out a bit more expensive and depends how long you subscribe for. So for this year I'm gonna decide if I can handle the ad attack and UK only access of Expat Shield, or pay for Identity Cloaker. Hulu did seem quite cool and I rather started to like Pandora Radio so I might go for that. May be your only option unless you can find a free or cheaper US version.

If the show isn't actually available on a US online service, then downloading it is the only way. To be honest my wife has been doing this for years back in the UK with loads of US shows and it's fine. Is there any particular reason you dont want to download? Your conscience?

I downloaded the series using a torrent client, then watched the whole series in 720p at my leisure
I'm pretty sure you won't find them to watch online, HBO don't like it.

I'd stick 'em on a disk and pop em in the post, but they're quite large..

Is there a reason you don't want to use torrents ?

http://www.surfthechannel.com/ lots of ads and sometimes slow but it does the job. if you pause it a let the thing buffer for 5mins before you start watching its usually ok.

can't you just get someone to tape it for you?
