SWMBO went out Saturday morning and took my son with her. My parents went up to there holiday home and took my daughter with them. So, there is me at home, no wife, no kids and a garage. What do I do. I try and score some brownie points by digging up three bushes in the front garden. Easy me thinks. Dig em up, lay fabric, put down some gravel.

1 million brownie points......Not so.

About 28 degrees in the sun. Forgot to wear hat. Burnt neck.

Then whilst removing Ivy fron front wall I then "hack" through a tough bit. Turns out it wasn't a tough bit of Ivy and infact it was a cable.

odd I thought. Until I looked over the wall and there on the other side of the wall is a cover plate in the pavement. I then realise it "may" have been an old NTL cable.

Not so, was infact the new Virgin cable.

Result of the days work.

Not touched the kit.
Sunburnt neck
Cut arms from bl$$dy bushed

And worse of all, no phone line, no broadband and no TV

Just as well i didnt go in the garage, probably would have caused more damage, and not actually acheived anything.

Oh well Virgin engineer booked for Monday morning......

Now to try and watch the GP on work netbook with slow mobile braodband connection......
