Yep!!!!!!!!! here it is the site they tried to ban
In an effort to worry the public and convince them to vote for us again next year, and because George Bush asked us to, this website includes the
common sense advice found in the Preparing for Emergencies booklet, and information on what the government is doing to protect the country as a whole.
(Hint: we're praying really, really hard.) National editions of the booklet will be available here when we can be arsed to get translators to put
them into your crazy moon languages.

Received within twelve hours of this site going online:
Dear Mr Scott,
Regarding your website, www.preparingforemergencies.co.uk
We run the Government website for the Preparing for Emergencies public information campaign, on www.preparingforemergencies.gov.uk, and are very
concerned that the material on your site will confuse people about the sensitive advice and information that we are giving to the public.
This is a very is [sic] serious campaign that should not be trivialised. In the interests of helping people to cope in the event of a crisis or a
disaster we would ask that you to take down the site, immediately, and not put it up again in another guise.
Sincerely,
DUMPY BLANKET

Has anyone else received their Preparing for Emergencies booklet?
It's pathetic - purely a token gesture.

Yep! Got it yesterday and it's pretty pointless IMHO. The spoof's more informative

As they said on "The Now Show" (Punt and Dennis, on the radio)...
"The last few pages are blank, perforated and thoroughly absorbent, which sums up the whole leaflet".
