i handed in my notice on the 16 th of last month,worked a week and left.
i havnt received my P45 yet and today i received my bank statement.....they havnt paid me for the 3 weeks i worked in august.
apart from a thermo nuclear device through their office window,what options do i have?

The procedure is as follows
Talk to employer, might be an oversight but (in my experience) likely they'll feed you some BS about training/uniform/not giving enough notice costs.

Officially request to be paid in writing.

Go to Acas and get a tribunal.

As for a P45, I'm not sure it's 100% needed.. It just makes it easier for the tax office (to balls it all up!)

BTW make sure you have payslips to prove you got taxed

It's a legal requirement they issue a P45 in a reasonable time

You have a legal obligation to do this. The exception to this is when you have only used tax code 'NI' (used when a student is signing a P38(s) declaration).


Pretty much as Ninehigh says.

Step one - call them and remind them of their legal obligation. Inform them they haven't paid you. Note time, date and person you talked to on phone.
Step two - follow it up with a letter, keep a copy.
Step three - depends what they say, but talk to a CAB/ACAS.
...
Step eighteen - post thermonuclear device.

Did you take holidays already? Had you earned them pro-rata yet? It may be they've taken back holiday days you weren't entitled to.

P45 should come pretty quickly, and yes, is necessary - your tax will be f*ckd in your next job if you don't hand it in and you'll be put on an emergency code until its sorted-which could put a big dent in your take-home.

i had enough holls time,i think they are grumpy as everyone is leaving in droves and they cant get decent staff to replace them,then they loose the contract cos they are wan**rs
i havnt even had a letter or phone call from the ungrateful retarded bunch of wasters

I make a point of it, in fact the only time I haven't given a reason for leaving (which I do when I leave in disgust) is when I couldn't exactly say "I'm leaving because I really want to punch you out"
