Can you not play the child something peaceful and melodic... the UK doesn't need any more angry kids!

Agree 150% with Scootz ^^.
Research would tend to say that the unborn are better with a tranquil time in the womb and it was certainly true for our three.
We played lots of classical music as again research says it has a calming effect on the brain.
There's enough trauma in birth especially for the first born (unless it's a C section) without frentic music before and after.
Plenty of time for Led Zep once they've popped out.
HTH and BOL, Pewe

C sections are surely more traumatic for a baby than a natural birth. Play beethoven's ninth and Cynic in perfect harmony

mrwibble - 21/9/11 at 12:59 PM

well is certainly don't want to traumatise my child before its born, it might have hard enough time with me afterwards!

but its also a list for music to play him/her after s/hes born.

plus i think a lot of the led zepp stuff is quite melodic, as is stone roses/ ian brown, some of the kasabian stuff isn't heavy. I think s/he might like a bit of dance

I have absolutely no idea if music affects the future personality of unborn children (does anyone), but I do know that there's no way I'd be ******* around with something so important!

At a guess, I think the womb would be a very peaceful place and I also guess that the evolutionary process has made it so for a reason!

Your kid... your choice!

Best of luck...

oh dear, i don't know why I come across as some sort of lunatic, this was just a bit of fun. i'm not about to strap a pair of head phones to my missess belly, or strap her to a subwoofa. as i said its not just for before s/hes born, but afterwards aswell.

bit of music in the back ground can't hurt.

bloody hell, you lot are a miserable bunch sometimes.

and for whats its worth, its probably irrellevant as to what music i like, as if my misses is happy because shes listening to her favourite song, those endorphines probably find their way to my baby, so stop pi**ing on my parade and give me some good song choices!

The first time I had to sing my baby daughter to sleep, the only song I could think of was "Frigging In The Rigging" by The Sex Pistols

She seems to have turned out alright so far....

Im introducing him to some classical influence via a bit of Malmsteen.

He sings 'bring your daughter' occationally I had to change it to 'to a party' because slaughter doesnt sound good coming from a 2 year old.
