Ive got a carbon fibre motorcycle wheel made into a clock! Well two actually, one 3 spoke in Silver carbon and a 5 spoke in black carbon.

As Steve said : What I can't get my head round is why does it have to be aerodynamic ? Answer is easy, use tub on a hotrod with nice chromed V8 in front.

Would certainly pull a crowd at shows, and the plod.

I suppose the sort of person that buy's one may want it on his yacht on an open deck, and therefore need the aero

As for costs, if you really wanted too, and had half an idea of what you were doing, I reckon you could make your own for a couple hundred quid...
I'm going to make my own stair hand rail in CF next year, reckon it'll cost me approx £70 ish...

Always amazes me how much water you can actually get in a bath - the weight is massive!

I can supply that!

Make them on rare occasion for fastidious racing yacht owners. A coat of high temp white epoxy makes them all hygenic and easy to clean. Only weigh less than a couple of kg's.

That Headhunter unit above looks very familiar! Off Topic, but I knew Robin 'The Headhunter' when I worked in Ft.Lauderdale. He was english, and wanted to live in the States, but couldn't find a job that couldn't be filled by a yank. Until....he discovered yank yacht captains didn't clean/unblock or go anywhere near the 'heads'. Hence, 'Headhunter' was born back in the 70's. He charged a fortune for call outs, and the yank skippers were all too ready to pay. Robin built up a flourishing business until he died. He was also a very acomplished banjo player, and travelled to Nashville to play as a studio musician, and kept learning from some of the all time greats. All in all, a very resourceful and extremely pleasant man, with a wicked sense of humour.
