Been many a year since I did any, is it by weight or volume
25kg cement 50kg sand and 75kg gravel
or
1 bucket/spade cement,2 buckets/spades sand and 3 buckets/spades gravel
many thanks
tony
I've always used the British Standard shovel.
Or should that be the Irish Standard?
I'll second that. Seem to recall is volume not weight.
Either can be used although weighing sand and gravel on a site is not easy.
Sand, gravel and cement all weigh +/- 1500 kg/cubic metre
I have a City and Guilds in Concrete Technology
What are you going to do with the concrete?
I would use 1:2:4 for most things - by volume is easier.
If you are just putting fence posts in then 1:3:6 would be fine.
Cheers

thanks for that should just have enough 250k cement 1 supposed tonne bag of sand and 1 supposed tonne bag gravel with about 3/4 cubic metre to do,
pays to shop around though sand and gravel approx £26 from local builders as opposed to £40 odd from B&Q, cement however £4.50 a bag from builders and £4.35 ( buy 5 or more and it came down to about £3.20 odd )from B&Q. had to use the Pajero as I thought 10 bags cement in the Blade was pushing it a bit.
Just a lightweight slab for the trailer tent
