basically i sold an engine on ebay 2 months ago, chap paid for the engine via paypal arranged to collect and never turned up. i have his mobile number which i spoke to him on to arrange but is not switched off and hes not responded to any of my e mails txts voicemails etc. im just wandering where i stand about reselling it? is there a set time i need to leave it? really need it out of the way!
I would text him, voicemail him saying you are going to resell it, do so, but be prepared to refund his money of he asks for it. Or is there a way you can refund him through PayPal ?
dont know how to refund it i know i can send it him. something must of happened to him prison or worse :-/ will leave him more messages and re sell it
you can refund or make a payment to easily enough on pp
I'd just refund him and make it clear on the payment it is aas refund for goods uncollected and move on.
as above - Send him a paypal email regarding non collection, refund him & re-list the item
I now always put on the bottom of adverts, full payment & contact please within 4 days of the auction end, if not sling your hook.
He needs neg feedback left on ebay aswell.
I dont think you can leave negative feedback to a buyer anymore.
will do hopefully it will sell for close to the same prics!

Send him all the messages you think will get to him, give him 2-3 days to contact you.
If not, refund money and re-advertise.
You need to write to him recorded delivery, give him x number of days to collect if not collected your selling, once sold if it goes for less you will refund him the difference if it goes for more you will refund him in full, keep a copy of the letter you send him, email is fine but back it up with a letter.
As a thought, what about all your fees?? I am not sure how long you have to make a refund, and get the fees back from ebay.
It would seem remarkably unfair to you if you lose out.
I would send him an one more email only. Telling him that you will be relisting the engine unless collected before whatever date. I would also say you
are willing to refund the payment he made less an out of pocket expenses.
I don't see how this can be seen as anything but reasonable??
How long can somebody apply for a chargeback?
exactly the engine wasnt cheap neither were the ebay fees! il do both of the latter 2 comments then im not out of pocket at all
Dare i say this but the chap may of passed on.
Have you checked his ebay user name for any recent activity?
Personally i'd not refund him, if he wants his money back then he can have some back minus fees and 10% and the difference in resale value.
If you pay for something, then bloody well pick it up. or its your loss.
I had a woman win some sunglasses (about £95 quid irc) and she didn't answer emails etc for extended period. eventually she responded saying she had been out the country as a relative had died and promptly paid up...
