I've been following this with interest over the last few months.
I'd give my view, but I'd welcome yours first.
Over to you------
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. he might have got away with in days gone by but these days the Met is very anxious to divert attention from othert allegations of high level corruption relating to the Murdoch empire..
It a bit of a witch hunt but it will at least serve as a deterrent... against leaving your wife

If the evidence is there, then he has to be prosecuted!
The law applies equally to us all (unless you're the Queen... or a Foreign Diplomat... or a member of a minority group
).
Seems a lot of public money will be spent on something which happened 8 years ago,I bet there are many victime of more serious and recent crime who
wish a similar amount of money and effort were spent bringing their purportrators to justice.
Just my opinion, but I would prefer to see this dropped and the money spent catching a rapist, murderer.........

You beat me to it BritishTrident.
The only problem with that approach pete is that the guy's in a position of trust and influence (for starters, he's advocating 30,000
wind-driven turbines fringe the entire west cost of Great Britain). He's lying like a cheap Changi watch and he's one slippery sucker.
He may not have raped anyone, but surely he should abide by the rules?
It very much reminds me of the Aitken affair 12 years ago, when the MP and Minister Aitken pledged to "cut out the cancer of lies with the sword
of truth, aided by the shield of British justice," (that's from memory so it's not a word-for-word quote). Anyway, the upshot was he
was found guilty as hell (perjury) and banged up for 18 months. He's since become a 'god-botherer', but that's entirely
bye-the-bye.
Huhne's from the same mould. Thinks that for him, the law doesn't apply. Quite aside from the fact that he's a self-serving,
sanctimonious, proselytising little twerp, he deservers everything he gets.
(See, I did say I'd tell you what I thought).

If it does anything to stop him building 30,000 expensive, innefficient, ugly, noisy, emvironmentally polluting, foreign made, obsolescent, useless (i
could go on), wind farms .... Then its a good thing.
But i doubt it will.
