Was talking with a mate on the phone earlier, he asked if I'd take a look at his bike, a 2002 1200 bandit, he says there is a wire from each carb to a 'brass' fitting, and one of the wires has come adrift.

Anyone know what these are, to give me a head start?

i think they are carb heaters

Carb heater wires earthing and blowing fuses seems to be a popular fault on the Mk2 Bandit.
