OK, so the wife decided she wanted a butler sink in the garden for planting stuff in, after a visit to the local reclamation yard, we decided the £75
he wanted for a manky old damaged one was way too steep !
Anyway, managed to pick one up on freecycle
Ha ha !
Only thing is its got loads of chips etc on the outside & theres a bit of concrete to remove from it where he had it in a built up wall, im
thinking a bit of filler & then a quick recoat with some sort of paint.
Dont want it looking brand new but what sort of paint do you think will be ok to use just to tidy it up a little bit ?
Cheers - Andy
Don't think Iwould bother , it's all part of the Character
Don't paint it - paint on ceramic will look awful - leave it as is, nice rustic look!

If you are carefull you could chip the ceramic coating off and you will be left with a rustic stone look. This is what a relative of mine did. Just a thought.
Yep, after closer inspection i.e, chipping the concrete off it, its looking fine
Also, kind of like most of the furniture in our house, a bit rough
around the edges..
One less job for me !
Thanks for that Rich
I wont mention about the mini to Emily, having a hormonal pregnant woman coming after you is not a good thing
Your gonna have to be a really good boy for me to keep this a secret from her...........oh, she was looking over my shoulder ! Better duck &
cover, she knows where you live, its been good knowing you.......
just leave it in garden for a bit, will soon go a nice shade of green...
Thick masonry paint rolled on to give an artex-style look similar to the masonry barbeques?
We have 3 in our garden which were here when we arrived. One of them was painted and it isn't any more although I have never touched it. If you paint it you will have to keep doing it.
