have a "mcculloch chainsaw" with "tool-less" chain tensioner, I have to stop and re-tighten it about 1/3 & 2/3 ways through
the tank of fuel
Chain oiler is working and uses chain oil
Use a toothbrush to get the bits of sinue and bone out of the links, wash out the remaining dried blood, re oil - should run like a dream.

I had that once - the chain had worn the drive sprocket so much that it split in half
