Had a cracking run out in the tiger this morning. Going out to lunch, so jump in shower. Waste pipe comes off bottom of bath and kitchen turns into waterfall! Turned electric off and took light fitting out to drain water. Do I let it dry out and fit new lights or do I need a Sparky? Should be ok I think, but not sure!

Depends on the fitting!
If simple and nothing clever then it should be fine, if a faffy lamp it may need replacing, Deffo replace the bulb if fluorescent type of gizmo.

It should be ok. Take it down and put it in th airing cupboard for a few days. Once dry, reconnect it and if it goes bang, it's no good!

If you're worried about damaging the cable when doing this, don't risk it and grow it out. Personally, that's what I would do, as replacing the cable if damaged, could be a right ball ache.

Took it out, dried it out, put it back, went bang! Dried main part of light but forgot bulb holders! New lights needed anyway - these are dirty!
