Nokia 6700 slide Ooops help?

Can anyone tell me is this phone magnetic? it has a stainless case, mine is at the bottom of the pond and want to know if I may be able to get it out with a magnet. The fish are not helping in the search.

I find fish are unhelpful for lots of things too

It probably is, those "magic" phone dashboard holders that are magnetic seem to stick to 99% of phones.

Failing that, there was some scuba gear advertised on here not so long ago

if you do recover it,
1: take the battery out,
2: wash phone with deminirilized (sp?) water (distilled)
3: dry (radiator for >24hr)
4: use a different battery
5: recover what you can...

any memory card or sim should be quite robust

Non interesting facts.
a). by lying on a plank across the pond with my ear in the water my arm was just long enough to touch the bottom of the pond, after a few minutes I found the phone.
b) the water is cold and a bit smelly.
c). the phone is not magnetic at all.
d) my wife was not terribly helpful
e). sim is fine of course but will the phone ever recover?
Thanks

If you have already switched it on it is likely to be toast.

To dry it stick it in a tub of dry rice for several days.

Was that one of your holiday snaps Dave? It seemed a bit like that, I assume you are home now how is the car going?
