Holey cow!

I've been in blistering 27degree heat today in Aylsbury, I come back to find the area flooded!

What now!?

I was glad that the sales director (utter cock) at work had his sports car dented

Bummer for you though,

I missed the Hinckley Hail, was in a biblical rain storm on the M1, on the way to Leeds. By the time I got back to 'inckley it was 23 deg and sunny

Came back the back road, nearly gave you a shout to pop in at work - but was running late.

sorry to see so much damage, must be scary to get such large hail

HowardB - 29/6/12 at 06:58 AM

It was pretty bad in Thurmaston, flooded that factory where I work, and dented a load of cars, I tried to video it out of a window, but it got too painful!!!

let's hope that the insurance companies are quick to pay out

Got back from Lagos, Portugal at 2 this morning - it's 39deg out there and 14deg here and I'm shivering

....fed up with the UK weather already ..... anybody seen the start of "day after tomorrow" with the hailstorm!

Really Unlucky !

Friends living near you ( opposite Sketchley Grange ) had their car and caravan covered in dents, and others down by St Catherine's church were the same. The road from the church down toward the Sapcote was a mess - tree branches, roof tiles, broken glass everywhere. One mates BMW was smashed all over and full of ice and water!

We are over near the Chequeres pub, and managed to escape any damage, but picked these up in the garden :

Col ,

Discovered 16 dents on tintop today (from yesterday)

I wasn't even in Hinckley - I was returning a repaired printer to a bank in Leeds& had borrowed another engineers car (a god awful Peugeot 4007)

Not even the Hot Hail on Flash Gordon was that big.....

http://youtu.be/9KBiXw-qAJQ?t=2m12s

Watching the clip... they could have tried a bit harder with the special effects

(BTW: movie trivia - not many people have ever noticed, but Robbie Coltrain closes the plane door 3m06s - He's credited at the end of the movie)
