Beggars are OK when they're making an effort, I'd give them money.

My favourite beggar of all time was a guy in Cornwall who just sat in a doorway all night completely off his face, shaking a maracca and telling everyone "it's peruvian!". That guy gets my respect...

Always used to be an old coloured guy at London bridge station - used to growl loudly at people and they gave him money....
