I've just seen this on the news
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-19111039
WTF is going on when a murderer is kept in an open prison and let out to go to work ...... The justice system is a joke
yep, a joke!
That is ridiculous!
I'd like to know who thought 11 years was life ? And where for gods sake was he working ? What about the family of the person he killed how do
They feel about him walking out of prison ? I bet they don't sleep tonight ........... Some one should but won't be sacked

His crime was committed in 1991, so he is probably nearing the end of his sentence. It is normal for prisoners that are not considered dangerous to the public to be moved into open prisons and allowed leave and outside work experience as part of their preparation for release - hopefully allowing them to integrate back into society more easily.
He only killed an ordinary person, if he had robbed an institute he would still be inside !!! If he had robbed you then would never have been sent
down.

Shoulda bounced on a bit of rope, then this kind of argument wouldn't happen.

Obviously someone who will have amended his ways... as a history of being violent
In 1991 Mitchell was jailed for life for binding the arms and legs of his partner Kathleen McKenzie before drowning her at their home on Westgate,
Almondbury, a year earlier.
Ms McKenzie, 28, had left Mitchell for a women’s refuge in 1990 but returned some months later to live with him.
