as with all things, money is the main obstical is money, and as the guy who was going to rent a room of me for the next year suddenly told me he isnt, i have no cash to start this project. ARSE!!!!!

never fear the old "go and get a job you lazy ****" argument can now be rolled in my direction. so i went to the job center website and looked for a job in a stockroom/wearhouse somewhere (so i dont have to deal with the public) and found that these jobs only exist if you can work during the day (which i can't, being a student and all.) my question is, does nothing get sorted or moved at the weekends anymore? i would have thought that this would have been a huge area of casual employment, or is there some EU directive to stop it.

just an observation. looks like im going to have to face angy customers to get this off the ground 9or should that be on?) ARSE!!!!!!!

Why would the customers be angry?

Not much help to you but there is a large Next warehouse near here that use weekend labour and early/late day shifts, maybe even overnight. Also pay quite a bit more than minimum wage. Must be lots around who also do similar things. Next certainly have a very high staff turnover though, the agency they use are in the building where my office is and they are constantly interviewing.

I used to do shelf stacking in the local supermarket in the evenings when I was at college. Crap job, but because most of the workforce were morons you could get away with being lazy and stupid and not arouse any suspision which was always a bonus.
