Can i just add in a T to supply the new shower with better water pressure? the cold will be fed from the same cold tank in the attic

What sort of shower?

oh yer a mira atom thermostatic shower with a diverter to a large head

No you cant...

Thermostatic mixer showers need the hot and cold to be at exactly the same pressure. Your drawing indicates that the hot is pumped and the cold is gravity fed...

Get around this by using a twin scroll pump that pushes hot and cold to the mixer.

no probs, that was the first plan, but using existing pump looked like the lazy option!
