Hi,

I've just had new windows and a front door fitted and I'm trying to find out who the manufacturer of the door lock is. You'd think this was a simple thing to do but so far I've not been able to find a match. I just want to check the spec (6 pin, BS EN 1303-2005 grade 6 is all I know) although I don't think I'll be using this as I've already got an Evva (yes double v) 3KS lock on the front door and it is regarded as extremely secure. Fortunately it was the same physical size on the old and new door so I could just transfer the lock. I'm also going to install some Yale anti-bump/snap/drill locks on the french doors at the rear of the house.

Anyway, here is the lockmaker's logo if anyone can tell me who this is:

Clues? Yes!

Lead me indirectly to find that the lock is a Mila Evolution (evo is the logo). I don't understand why the manufacturer doesn't have their company name or product number at least on the body of the lock or key where a potential crook wouldn't be able to see it. The lock itself is devoid of any markings other than a kitemark on the ends.

That also lead me to this youtube video showing someone picking that lock so I certainly won't be using it and will stick with my evva 3KS which I believe to be considerably more difficult to defeat. I'm sure this guy is probably an expert lock picker and makes this seem much easier than it actually is but all the same...

I guessed that EVO was the logo but Googling it brought me pages of Mitsubishi Evos or Evolution bike locks! I came to that link via a Chinese company that supplied the F18 EVO PZ Lock and the Logo on the fuzzy picture looked similar to the one on your key. Miss Marple would be proud!
