Permission to panic Mr Mainwaring sir. 92 was a good age though and he'll live forever through Dad's Army.

Been watching dads Army since I was a nipper, and have about 8 episodes sitting on the Skybox

Great clean humor .

Clive Dunn is a legend

RIP. One of the best eps, an episode based around Jones:

"Been watching dads Army since I was a nipper,"

even my Grandson (12) thought it was funny

How will we defend the country now !
Sadly that leaves Ian Lavender & Bill Pertwee (the ARP Warden) and I think the Vicar Frank Williams

Thank you Corporal Jones

Seems odd...

He played a 70 year old when I was growing up!

DON'T PANIC!

RIP

Ninehigh - 7/11/12 at 09:30 PM

Wow, I thought there was only Ian Lavender and Bill Pertwee left as of the late 90's!

David Jenkins - 8/11/12 at 04:20 PM

I met him many years ago, when I lived in Swansea - he was attending some opening ceremony or other. He was very quiet, gently spoken, friendly and very polite.

He'll be remembered fondly, I'm sure...
