Hi all
How long would you generally give someone to be pay for an item that they have bid for and won on ebay? Appreciated that some people may bid on an
item fairly early in the auction if they plan on going away with the off chance they may win it!
Regards
Leon
I believe ebay terms are 7 days, i personally wait 24 hours till issuing a invoice 9if it hasnt been paid straight away), then if nothingg, 3-4 days after end, another invoice with a message. then after 6-7days another message. If you dont get paid or at least a reply then set up an unpaid dispute after the 7 days.
Send a reminder. Wait 3 days. Then next bidder with 2nd chance offer.
If you get some communication out of them then give them a chance.

Just had the exact thing with a tosser not paying. Ebay say you have to give 5 days then you can open a dispute to get final item fees back. I gave it 3 days before relisting the item as that was what I stipulated in the auction.
Ok, cheers guys. I sent an invoice the day after the auction ended with a polite message offering to send the goods as opposed to them collecting. I
just had a sneaky feeling about this one when the bid went in so early. We are now almost 4 days after it ended and i haven't heard a word from
the guy. The guy has over 600 feedback @ 100%, would seem a shame to spoil that! Also he was the only bidder so I'm buggered with offering a
second chance.
Cheers

I had to wait 11 days, for a clown to contact me and pay for an item, it was sent, and signed for at his address, yet he says he has not received the
item
why do i bother selling stuff!
steve
I ask for payment within 24 hrs in my T&C's, I have to threaten often, I have only been messed around 3 times in 13 years
So, following on from my original post about the non baying ebayer i have now had the following message:
hi,
sorry been away for a few days. I'd forgot I'd bid on this and bought what I needed while I was away. would you mind cancelling the
transaction please, I'll obviously agree to the email sent by eBay to cancel it so you get all your fees back.
Now my view is 'bid to buy' so which approach would you guys go for?
Cheers
Leon
Be graceful, let it go.
Probably a genuine error on their part, and there is diddly squat you can do to make him pay. If you get nasty, he may leave neg feedback for you, and
that is a PITA though can be reversed I believe.
Relist is you best bet.
I've taken a slightly different approach so we'll see what happens.
