Binning TV - Any Components Worth Keeping?
scootz - 29/11/12 at 01:51 PM

Just about to take my broken (screen) Panasonic TV to the tip... before I do so, are there any parts worth keeping?

Wouldn't have thought there's anything worth having in there.

Is that a TXP42G15?

Shame as if it was more local Id take it for parts?

Stick it on ebay you might get a tenner for it.

I know its sad, but our old tv went to the tip, in bits after i removed all the self tapping screws, as they are very usefull!

I was actually taking it to bits first as it was a crt 32" that weighed the same as my mondeo, so broke it up first for ease of moving it about

Cheers fella's... it's seems it's not worth the screwdriver time!

PS - It's now in the bothy at the tip next door to you Robert (if you want to fish it out and replace the screen!).

PPS - It is a TX P42 telly!

You are forgetting THE GOLDEN RULE - never, ever throw anything out - it may come in useful some day (usually the day after you throw it out!!)
