Anyone else seen this yet? Thought it was a fantastic tale, you couldn't make it up, love his music as well.

It was excellent, wasn't it? It seemed obvious that the record company man now in Los Angeles ripped him off. But I suspect he himself ended up in hard times, and used the money he made on Rodriguez to pay other things, so it's probably blood out of a stone at this point.

Truly an artist, who did not want the trappings of fame, or just accepted that he wasn't going to get them anyways, and couldn't change his lifestyle. Makes me want to go see SA though!

I thought it was very telling that the money he made later in life from the SA concerts mostly went to friends and family and he still lives in a small house with a wood burner for heating!

Not only seen the film but went to see him play live at the Royal Festival Hall recently and the atmosphere was incredible, the audience was full of South African's who just could contain themselves, I've never seen so much love and adoration in one room, a truly special night

The guy is a true legend and the real 'hippy' deal that's for sure.

Amazing film - the most captivated I've been when watching something in quite a while. As you say, you just couldn't write such a story!
