I'm not a gambler by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm sure many of you also have a friendly flutter on the controversial race that is
the Grand National??
Would anyone like to share some tips for tomorrows race - we are all Locost Builders afterall!!
N
My money is on the winner
I'm betting on a horse winning it.
This is the way it should be done...
When they start putting fallen jockeys down rather than horses I'll start betting on it. Until then i'll just stick to flat races and motorsport.
another horse died today
What do you mean by controversial??

I'm sure people do know the risks, but it's more the horses than the jockeys taking a risk. Myself I think it's a sh1t race, but then I don't gamble and I don't kill animals for sport.

More controversial than the reportedly fascist but non-racist football mangers or disabled bay parking, 1st class fare dodging, band wagon
jumping holier than thou politicians.
Have got that the right way round ?

Now where's the like button when you really need it?
good motorsport sprint circuit within Aintree nag track, Beechers corners pretty tough in a car, big bump just on long apex right hander
as for the dead horses, coming to a tescos near you very soon...
I think horses are magnificent.
I dont think its too disimilar to dog fighting. Both do under command of shitty humans with the result that atleast one animal suffers.
The national is just a day out for fox hunters, wags, rough chicks and blokes that feel the need to walk around the track with fat cigars thinking
theyre something special.
The ex's parents had race horses and that still didnt win me over.
Been to one race, fooking boring.
Much rather be at Oulton Park, or work, or watching paint dry.
Last winner of a British GP at Aintree was Jim Clark in a Lotus-Climax 25 in 1962
The first winner of a British GP at Aintree was Stirling Moss in a Mercedes
Only the best !
