If you knew a friend of yours was regularly driving around presumably uninsured in a car which may or may not be his/hers. What would you do?
how would you feel if one of these uninsured tossers spanked your car or worse put you or yours in hospital.
Castration with a rusty breadknife is a suitable deterent i think.
We have 3 cars and it's up to me to insure, tax and MOT all 3. If I have to pay out that much cash, so should they.
Oh, and if they don't pay insurance then the money has to come from somewhere.
I don't approve, but I couldn't shop a mate. If it was someone I just new, not someone close, it might be different though.
A friend of mine is a copper in one of the less nice parts of south london. He says that you can stand on a busy road and within one minute, pull a
car that has got either no insurance/tax/MOT. Its absolutely frightening how many gits are driving around illegally, at the EXPENSE of everyone ELSE.

Had to make a similar decision when a relative became to old to safely drive.
i'd never grass a m8 up,theres nothing worse than being a snitch,i'd give him a beating if all else failed,maybe pop a few of his tyres
to me, it would depend on the circumstance, the drivers ability and their general attitude. Plus how much money they had.
if the were a good driver, driving it irregularily, and with enough money to cover any minor prangs, plus a good reason for using it, then i wouldnt
be bothered myself. Lets face it, good careful drivers rarely cause accidents.
but, if he were a reckless speeder, in a banger, driving daily, i would be bothered. Still, i dont grass on mates, so i guess i would have to nick his
wheels.

anything to grass on anyway...

If that failed i would adminster a couple of distraction blows to the bonce then highlight the error of his ways once more.
If he was a mate i,d have to have a word first and give him every opportunity to see the error of his ways,but if no joy a mate of mine who is on the force would probably have an unnoficial word without it leading to a court date.But then if that didn,t work he deserves all he gets.
I've got 2 kids. If one of them stepped off the pavement in-front of him (and children do that sort of thing, I've had it done to me, I was stationary & the little blighter still ran into the side of my car & later claimed it was my fault. Thank God for insurance) then it doesn't matter how good or careful a driver he or she is. I certainly wouldn't want an inconsiderate TW*T like that on the road.

i've warned him if i see him out in his mums car again i'll shop him, can't be any straighter with him than that.
pop a tyre or three and put a note on the windscreen informing himthat if he is seen driving with out tax/mot/insurance again you'll call the blue boys
so his mum dont care if he twats her car? and that she's allowing him to drive it knowingly uninsured?

stephen, if you knew what his family were like you'd understand. without meaning to sound nasty they are a bit strange 
I have a relative who has been driving since he was 17, same age as me so he has been driving for 26 years. I passed my test when I was 17 (14 days
after my birthday), he has never even taken his test.
He drives as well as everyone else, but when or if has has a bad accident and people are hurt, his insurance will find out and wash their hands of the
whole incident.
Where will this leave the injured parties, he would be paying for the rest of his life, and others may be in a more difficult position to put it
mildly.
I am not a do gooder, but somethings are essential, and insurance is one of them.
