has any one refurbished these units, Just bought a trailer to find that the units have had spacers to get rid of camber issues I can only asume this id down to worn rubbers in the suspension so I am looking to refurb them

The box section trailing arms usually twist due to overloading or corrosion. If so, the units are scrap. Likewise, if the rubbers are perished, scrap. Are you sure the bearings are ok? Folks often hide knackered bearings with spacers!!

the cent of the shaft doesnt appear to sit central in the box section, I think that the unit may have been carrying too much weight for the units

Are they individual units or axle units?

Individual ones are usually 8 hole mounts and easy to swap over.

For 2 ton, budget around £350

I don't think they are designed to be rebuilt I suspect there are assembled using an almighty press

The press is actually not a large as you might think, but I also agree that ive not heard of anyone refurbishing a unit, given it appears to be fairly random which bit fails first its probably false economy to try.
