anyone painted a filing cabinet?
James - 21/9/13 at 08:44 PM

Mrs has decided that my extremely functional and useful Bisley filing cabinet (in brown and cream!) Is too ugly and she wants to paint it.

Anyone else done this?

I was thinking key it and then use Plasticoat?

Cheers,
James

how about vinyl wrap, carbon fibre effect ?

Yep
I did 20 years ago in a nice Plasicote Biege
Lived in the bedroom in 2 houses and now in my study
Fits so much better with the decor at home

Yep! Painted a 6 drawer one, about 6 years ago, with smooth black Hammerite, using a small paint roller, looks fine (no brush marks)

Normal gloss paint is as good as anything.
