I sold a subframe to a guy in France - after checking on parcelmonkey I was happy to send it as the cost was just £25 for a 4 to 5 day
service........
I just went on their site tonight , and its all changed ? The only options I now have to send to France are £125 (just 2 choices of service , not the
page full there was last week)
Any ideas ? I cant afford to lose £100 on the deal (post was included in the sale.....)
What are the dimensions and weight?
Have you tried parcel2go?
Claire. Just tried parcel monkey and got a quote at £21+ vat for France by parcel monkey road and 18+vat for parcel force international

I've done similar before and its been down to putting the dims in in inches not cms...
Never used Parcelmonkey, but sent some big stuff overseas, DHL and UPS generally come out best on price via parcel2go.
I always use Parsel2go to bring stuff here as third party collections, and never had any problems.
As said, it could be the dimensions causing the problem.
I've never tried anything as big a subrfame before but for everything I have had to send overseas the Post Office has always been surprisingly
cheap.
I had to send my speedo head back to Ohio USA for a warranty replacement and the Parcel 2 go selections all wanted around £22 upwards, went to my post
office and they wanted £4.50.
I dare say a subframe is just too big though but for anything else the Post Office is good.
I used to use ParcelMonkey and P2G but service eventually went downhill.
Now use Interparcel and their own Economy service uses UPS. Very well priced and you can stick upto 20-25kg easily
Just checked and a 20kg parcel with 50x40x40 dimensions was £19+ vat to France
