
Hi all i am thinking of buying a door opener for the garage but what i was thinking is what / how would i get in the garage if something goes wrong
and the opener stops working .ie power cut
I don't have a side 2nd door
Do any of you have this set up

The one I had included a key that allowed you to manually disconnect the mechanism. You mounted this outside the garage.

In my case this was a few years back. It was a chain drive Chamberlain model (from B&Q).
Not sure same model exists.
The locking mech was like part number 1702EML

There is a pdf manual on that site.
Basically drill a hole in the door attach cable to mechanism so that it disconnects the arm if you need to get in when power down.
I think they are pretty standard bits.
