Depends on how many people go with you

Mrs Reman did this more than once, years ago.
"It's a nice trip, but quite busy with locks and traffic at peak times"
Thinks that a week would be hard work, unless your good at using all the daylight and practiced at it"
When are you going?

June/ July 14 nights so plenty of time,
locks don't bother the girls we have done a lot of narrow boating just not this ring

"That will be fine"
You might even have time to see a bit of the Ashby canal (the bit up to Snarestone (no locks))
We'll be in the Lime Kilns Inn by the"s" on the end of 1-1/2 hrs to the right of Marston.

we looked into this a couple of years ago, as we and our m8's are caravaner's ,

But at a grand a week, for four adults, plus food, eating out etc, plus fuel. plus locks etc worked out VERY expensive

Also, my work colleague who lives in Cambridge, booked a cheapy one for 4 adults and 3 kids in Norfolk area last year

total bill was £2200 ish, for one week

Now for that money, the Maldives, is CHEAP!!!

That's £314 per person
Not bad

We don't pay that for 14 nights + the fuel is in the price this year
you have to look around for the bargains If you go for 2 weeks the second week is cheaper

Don't be put off by the naysayers.

Sure you can get 2 weeks in tossa de mar plus guaranteed sunshine
But it is better to do a holiday you want and whinge about it later
than regret not doing it when you had the opportunity.

There should be some nice pubs along the route.
