Northern Lights?

Anyone see the Abora lights last night?

These were taken up in Northumberland last night..

Awesome, I've never managed to catch a glimpse in this country, but seen them in Iceland whilst working away!

I missed them due to the wife throwing her guts up

use to see them all through the year when I lived in inverness, so bright sometimes they cast shadows. Not once have i seen them from aberdeen despite aberdeen being known for them.

apparently were quite early at about 8pm, use to see them more a 10 - 11 pm, will check tonight

the only lights i see here are the flashes from ganstas guns

Those are great photographs. I used to see the lights on a regular basis when I was a teenager in Yorkshire, but over the last 60 years the skies have got rather grotty.....

I did look last night after I saw it on the news, but there was nothing in Leeds. Would they typically be visible over normal light pollution?

When I was a teenager I didn't live a million miles from you but our village only had two street lights and the Arora was easy to see in all it's glory. You would think the sky was on fire.....

Where was that? I remember seeing them over the house roof when i was little..

A small village between Leeds and Barnsley, close to Woolley Edge Services....
