As subject - has anyone got any experience?

Fairly simple bent metal components welded and zinc plated.

No personal experience, but my ex boss received a container full of oil seals with "insert logo here" printed on them !

Depends what and in what quantities.

Prices are not as keen as they used to be and shipping costs have gone up recently and don't forget import duties etc.

Unless you have a trusted person on the ground there can be quality problems if you go for cheap - and samples are not always representative of batch/volume quality.

For metal components you need pretty high volume in order to over come material and freight costs. Labour costs in China are also rising all the time, which is diminishing the return. As above, you also have to factor in import duties on anything you import.

My company has a Chinese manufacturing facility and weekly palletised air shipments to the UK. Mainly injection moulded components, but also some metal components. I'd be happy to discuss your needs and see if we can help. U2U sent.

I get small runs of parts (50-100) made in China as they work out a lot cheaper than anything I can get in the uk. I've worked pretty hard to build a relationship with the guys I deal with and they are usually quite helpful
