I have been tasked with giving away my sister when she gets married. My father died about 6 years ago and my sister was widowed in unplesant
circumstance about 8 years ago - hence can't really mention any of that.
Any thoughts on what to say in the speech? All help appreciated as I am struggling!
I gave away my sister at her wedding as neither of us wanted our dad there. I talked about how we were when we were growing up, talked about how we are now, what I thought about her new husband (including a few comments about the Poland stag weekend!), and then all the best for the future. It was fairly easy to do three or four minutes of each, a shorter last one, ten minutes in total and a very happy crowd.
