It's gone back to the Ferrari/Schumacher era. At least it's a British driver involved this time. But the whole thing has gone very dull and I'm a huge F1 fan.

Moto GP much more exciting

snapper - 11/5/14 at 01:46 PM

Its bloody exciting now

CRAIGR - 11/5/14 at 01:48 PM

Perhaps they should just make them all a 6 lap race instead then.

sdh2903 - 11/5/14 at 01:55 PM

And here's something else you'd never hear from me. What a great drive by vettel very impressive.

You won't get close racing between teams until everyone gets used to the new regulations. It's remarkable that the DNF rate is this low really. You'll have to wait until late this season or for the next when Mercedes, McLaren Honda and Red Bull have it out.

I had more fun watching my crinkle paint go crinklely on my rocker cover

Surrey Dave - 11/5/14 at 03:17 PM

Watching 2 team mates 'racing' when the outcome was probably decided after qualifying!

Yes the racing will get closer when everyone is up to speed, then they will change the regs again, Mind you they need to, this years cars are the most ridiculous and ugly of all time.

And I am a massive F1 fan.............but now struggling.

Problem is that we've been waiting for "next season" for 6 seasons now for mclaren to pull something out of the bag. Next year they'll be talking about engine development no doubt, so we'll be waiting another year.

balidey - 11/5/14 at 04:01 PM

Historic GP at Monaco is on Motors TV now.
Those guys are not afraid to bash the odd wheel together.

Very true. Everyone keeps saying mclaren next year etc. all the other engine manufacturers have a years head start on honda. What a time to head back into the sport with the most complicated power plant the sport has ever seen. I just hope they're using this extra bench development time to good effect as I can't see Ron Dennis being happy with yet another year of mediocrity.

Those to have history
And there racers
If Nico could have done it he would have

And on team orders do you think Kimi would let Alonso through on orders ?

JoelP - 11/5/14 at 07:07 PM

Still love it myself. Don't have a problem with the new engines really, I'd put up with the awful noise for the benefits of actually developing some serious kers systems. These will filter into road cars and it will save us money. Just because Mercedes is dominant shouldn't ruin it - one team is always in front!

snapper - 11/5/14 at 07:24 PM

I find it refreshing that Red Bull are dominant this year however 15th to 4th for Vettel shows he has skill and the car ain't that far off

scootz - 11/5/14 at 10:22 PM

Was at the race. Sad to see that some of the GP2 cars were qualifying faster than some of the F1 cars. 😞
