I'm in the throes of buying a house up in Leeds & want an absolutely basic survey done. I have a guy down here in Essex that does it for £80, it is literally just so I have a piece of paper which, should I have a problem with subsidence or similar in a couple of years time, I can produce for the insurance co. to prove the place wasn't like it when I bought it, but obviously my bloke in Essex isn't a lot of use to me in Leeds!

I've checked the property over myself, one tiny area of damp in a bedroom almost certainly due to the guttering outside being damaged/clogged/leaking, other than that all is fine, modern house on modern estate with no structural probs in the area.

So do we have any surveyors in the central Leeds area that could do the job for me or does anyone know of a firm or surveyor who would do an absolutely bare bones survey (my guy down here calls it an "auction survey" ) for a sensible price?
