It's mostly plywood scraps doubled up you silly man...

I am a cabinetmaker/carpenter by trade, and I am fortunate enough to work on some incredibly nice properties. Currently I am working on a 15 million dollar renovation (which given the value of the US dollar these days may not be that impressive, but it will be a nice shack anyway )

It is amazing how much waste there is on project like these. For about the past 3 years, I have been saving every decent piece of Honduras Mahogany that I could get my grubby Mitts on and I now have enough for this......

I made this from Honduras mahogany years ago, I do enjoy a bit of woodwork. I'm looking at plans for a boat for this year as well, not quite that scale though.

It was all the mahogany I could find so I carved a fruitbowl out of it If I want to hurl I just stick my fingers down my throat

i believe that there is quite a lot of waste when laying hardwood flooring, if you know what i mean makes lovley doors, tables cabinets whatever!

This place does the plans and resin for you to make your own boat. They have a few designs, may have something like you are looking at.

The one I'm looking at is just for maintenance at the local fishing pond, bro in law is a member and unofficial bailiff and they have to recover stuff from the island in the middle occasionally.
