Was fine till his chassis collapsed during testing!

Just read the article and wondered if this part of it related to a special type of audible warning device required for the SVA
"You may find that some manufacturers offer help for first-time builders, such as pre-assembled components, that simplify the build process and
help keep a handle on costs. This isn't necessarily a cop out - ordering a rolling chassis, for example, will save you the time of assembling
suspension and barking components, but will still leave you with plenty to do before the bodywork goes on. "
HEE HEE
why is it entitled kit car crisis? baffled on that one...
i see Mark Evans has had his nose pushed out of this one!
Maybe he has gone back to something he's good at like vetinary

Here's Ian Grays take on the show......

spent a long day yesterday watching the first 6 episodes of the program along with tim hoverd at the producers - mainly due to concerns that the
industry / rgb might get a bad press whatever due to the catalogue of up bleeps that appear to be consistent throughout the program , i am pleased to
report that the program is very fair to the industry and rgb , just a shame that a car was chosen that was somewhat underdeveloped by someone who
obviously would have struggled to build even a purple car let alone a prototype -
it screens in early may and is titled 'kit car crisis ' and effectively could be described as a program on how not to build an rgb car .
thanks to the guys at the production co for asking tim and i to attend and for editing the program in a sensible rather than sensationalised way -
I dont have sky so could someone please tape the series for me, or even maybe copy it onto DVD ?? dont expect nothing for nothing so more than happy
to cover costs and provide beer tokens.

And then Tim wrote:
"Just to echo Ian's comments. I thought it fell into the "mostly harmless" category to be honest. It certainly emphasises the
value of choosing the right car to build/race whether it be a Westfield, a Fury or one of those blasted purple Phoenix things. We did try to tell the
producers that it would be much better with loads more footage at race meetings but apparently the channel really wanted more time in the shed.
They also showed us the footage of the chassis flexing that caused the termination of the Rockingham test. Very worrying, although probably fixable
with a bit of nous."
Very interesting and great promotion for "that" particular make of car!
Pat...
i bet he's devastated...
Sooooo....what make is the kit?
And who is Ian Grey ?
1) the car was the "dominator" your fexible friend ?
2) for Ian Gray read "Stuart Taylor"
Thanks jon
I should have remembered him
