I heard ages ago that on the first test the suspension mounts broke, so it should be interesting to watch tonight.
yep one of the front shock mounts just tore of with the weight of just one bloke bouncing the front end 
The chassis at the diff mounts just twisted with the power

i think it twisted due to bad desihn not power,he only used a max of 8500 rpm
to my feeble brain it seemed obvious that bit was going to bend, break, twist.
Chain drive, so when accelarating all the force is trying to pull the diff up and over towards the engine and it's acting unequally on the chain
side. Looked like 3/4" shs to me, so pretty much all the acceleration/inertia forces are going into that small section and not evenly either. I
genuinely feel sorry for the poor guy, he was almost in tears. Still think he's a bit of a twatt but all power to him. it's the chassis
fault, poor diff mounts, dodgy welding and the best side impact protection I have ever seen!!! (rememeber the 1st episode)
here mate, just hold this chain while i whack it with a lump hammer........ouch!

Man I wish we got that show. I love seeing people do stuff like that when they really dont have a clue.

Subconsciously I think he knew it would never make it to track so he fitted those huge bling bling wheels
Did anyone catch the weight of the car on the scales. I thought i saw 648 on the display but that can't be right surely?

The guy's a numpty!
I assume he got a lot of the kit on the back of it being a programme - if he didn't he's even more of a numpty. From what we could see of
the chassis in the area of the transaxle not only was the tubing possibly insubstantial, it was unbraced, no triangulation or gussets, and it was hard
to spot any weld. I like the engine guy saying it was chain stretch - must've made the chain out of Playdoh! Yes we have all been there, but at
least we had the common sense to shop around and ask people, and not commit our money so readily. If I feel vaguely sorry for him it's that
he's been sold a pup of a car and picked up a load of dud hangers-on.
What a crappy finish to a crappy series!
The car's near-enough finished, he's had a serious problems that probably could be fixed by a competent chassis engineer, and...
...nothing.
Not even a concluding commentary to say what happened in the end.
We are often rude about Mark Evans' series of 'A <something> is born', but at least those programmes had a beginning, middle and
end, and he did appear to do most of the work himself (including making and fixing his own mistakes). He didn't come over as a whining pillock
either, even if he did grate on the nerves occasionally.

I think the series is a 'not how to do things' type of programme, after all it is called kit car crisis!
As for Mark Evans, i love his way of presenting and he is as mad in real life as he is on his programmes.....such a nice bloke
I'm told he got paid £60K to make the KKC series. If anyone meets him ask if it was worth £60K to let the whole country see what a muppet you are!
I was quite surprised by the reaction of the race team guys that tested the car. They seemed to think it waas well put together and actually seemed to
be quite impressed with the chassis at the back end. Surely these guys should have spotted the problems straight away without the car ever going onto
the track ?
Agree it was a crap way to end the series. I see from the RGB site that he has yet to race..... but apparently his Fisher Fury is for sale. maybe
thats to pay for the work on his chassis.

As it says on the website.......Dominators are high performance road going or racing sports cars built to the most exacting and best of modern standards.
There's a complete MK GT1 chassis and body on Ebay at the moment, could be just what the man needs to replace his plasticine one.

some of the bits look familiar, (exhaust, front ally panel) but the chassis as either been repaired or its not as stated.........the welded in roll
hoop and brace seem too have gone for a walk too, along with several mods too the chassis.

can't be the same car, the one on ebay has four wheels
the front end of the chassis is totaly different too, also the engine was mounted 6" further forward than normal, it dont look like same chassis at all but the exhaust does look like the one.

I find it hard to believe he got £60k for that, it was a very minor programme and they usually don't have anything like those budgets, they know
people will do it for (next to) nothing for the help and sponsorship.
And not all the hangers on are muppets, Alistair - the electrics/Digidash guy is a really nice and knowledgable and helped me with my installation.
What interesting about that thread on RGB is it hasn't gone any further, anybody know why?
I wonder if the progamme producers have noted the reaction in various forums...
