Sponsored Walk Sponsorship
Deckman001 - 15/10/05 at 05:57 PM

Hi all, am after sponsorship for my daughter (13) who is doing a 20KM walk on the 21st of October for her school, Warlingham, to help fund the refurbishment of the old changing rooms to include a new office and PE classroom. She has never done a walk like this before so the more sponsors she gets the more it will spur her on!

We're not after a big sum per km in sponsorship from each person; hopefully just lots of people sponsoring a pound or two each, (you can offer more, it's entirely up to you). 10p or 20p per km would be good.

Money will need to be paid into the school by Monday 7th November so should reach me before that time.

The school form allows the use of Gift aid which means the Government gives the school an extra 28p for every pound donated.
Money can be paid by cheque or to me via Paypal. I will post her final distance on Friday night.

Please let me know asap if you can help.
Many thanks in advance

Only if you do it as well wearing a bananaman suit.....
20 hard earned pence a km it is ...as long as she doesn't go walking to scotland or somewhere daft ....

Cheers
Mark

Come on people surely it's worth a few bob to see Jason make a plonker of himself dressed as bananaman ....or at least help the little people out.

and more garage points from Mrs Deckman!!

Kissy - 16/10/05 at 07:16 PM

OK Deckman, in line with the rest; if you do the walk as well (dressed as banana or any other fruit) I'll up the ante to a quid per km. My SOH is a headteacher, so I appreciate what the parents, children and friends have to do towards a good school.

Emily - you'll have to walk a bit faster so no-one knows the banana is your dad. PayPal or cheque? Need address for the latter.

Deckman001 - 16/10/05 at 08:09 PM

I'll check with the boss, but I'm sure I'm meant to be in Colchester on the day of the walk comisioning a smoke vent system This was meant to be on the thursday but have had to take that day off to cover childcare due to an inset day
I will ask though

Jason

Triton - 16/10/05 at 10:09 PM

Jason......are you saying you have never chucked a sicky....

Deckman001 - 17/10/05 at 04:31 PM

No, not really, It's a bit difficult when there are financial implications when deadlines aren't met

Jason

James - 18/10/05 at 07:54 AM

Deckman001 - 27/6/06 at 08:53 PM

Hi all those who offered to Sponsor Emily, She has done the walk at long last, actualy she did more than the 20k as her half of the school had to take a detour because of the condition of the path after the first 400 puplis had walked, ran and mucked about on it !! made me giggle any way.
I've payed in all ready the money payed up front, many thanks , you know who you are , could people who wish to fulfil the sponsorship please make cheques out directly to the school 'Warlingham School' and send them to me at

419 Selsdon Road
South Croydon
Surrey
CR2 7AD

And we'll pass them on to the school, could people also let me know if they want a receipt of cheque conformation by u2u or a post on here.
Many Many Thanks
Jason , Emily and Warlingham School
