C10CoryM - 8/1/06 at 06:06 PM

And right away I noticed something that appears to be very wrong with the green car on the cover.
Anyone else see what I am talking about? Rescued attachment cover.jpg

I suppose, being in canada, the steering wheel's on the wrong side for you?

Cheers

Chris

mookaloid - 8/1/06 at 06:15 PM

Is it the tyres?

bob - 8/1/06 at 06:18 PM

steering wheel might be right hand drive but the wipers are for a left hooker.

bob - 8/1/06 at 06:19 PM

Ahh no roll bar

donut - 8/1/06 at 06:29 PM

it's on an invisible floor?

flak monkey - 8/1/06 at 06:30 PM

Throught the windscreen you can see the start of a roll bar. But the rest of its been photoshopped away.

David

muzchap - 8/1/06 at 06:38 PM

I didnt get past the woman on his avatar :-(

But agreed no roll bar

graememk - 8/1/06 at 06:41 PM

the guys on the front cover look like nerds ?

rusty nuts - 8/1/06 at 06:47 PM

You don't use the Pound (£) in Canada?

Thats what I was noticing. They are directional tires and are mounted on the wrong sides. The V shape in tread always points down looking at it from the front. If mounted backwards they build too much heat and can come apart.

I didnt notice the rollbar though
Cheers.

k33ts - 8/1/06 at 06:52 PM

steve_gus - 8/1/06 at 07:40 PM

Just open up the book and count all the mistakes and missing info on the INSIDE!

Then you can go to the nearest camp site with your tin opener to strip some ally panels for your new build

jollygreengiant - 8/1/06 at 08:47 PM

Since when is anyone going to use a cortina body jack to lift the car and change a wheel.

I dunno - can anybody point me in the right direction for some google images searching

RE: the tyres - depends if they are directional...?

Anyway, Ron Champion was a delusional ex-Acid taker £250.00 my A$$ he misplaced the decimal point - well that's how Caterham interpreted it... Westfield moved the decimal point and then deducted some and I'm hoping for £250 x 10 = finished build

Liam - 8/1/06 at 11:38 PM

Liam - 9/1/06 at 12:44 AM

Yeah it took me quite a while to photoshop the bald patch on my old man's head. Honest

Cheers for the compliment, Steve - quite an old photo though - got panels/roll bar/rad/almost brakes and stuff now. Just thought the pose was appropriate...

How do you get the steering to drop down at about 90 deg to the rack?

Who's Avatar are we talking about here?

If its mine, take a look at www.deviantart.com and search for a guy called steelfinger, the young lady is called Emily:
http://search.deviantart.com/searchcraft/?cmd=1&offset=0&search=steelfinger

Websites probably not worksafe, depending on what areas you visit.

If its C10CoryM's then I havent a clue.

At first glance it looks like the shock absorber on the front off side suspension is not connected, as you can see what looks like the mounting bush. However I think that it might be a damper adjustment knob or something simmilar.

HVX 800 T

Registered as a green saloon in December 1979

Well at least it didnt come up as a Dutton Melos

Girl in my avatar is known as Tiffany Teen. Any search for her is gonna be NSFW though .
VERY attractive girl IMO. So when I saw her, beside my favorite road sign I figured it would be a good avatar.
Cheers. Rescued attachment curvesahead.jpg

for those of you with the book, you may have noticed the green car on the cover, or at least one with the same reg plate appears again on page 151.

by the look of the 'roll bar', it's unsurprising it got photoshopped out

i couldn't guarantee it's the same car, as it has a filter sticking out of the bonnet too, but the roll bar is truly hideous.

tom

C10CoryM - 11/1/06 at 12:43 AM

Gotta be the same car. They probably PSed the filter out as well.
You aren't kidding about that rollbar.... BLAH!
