evening all, does anybody drive with gloves and boots (karting stuff) like omp or sparco? do they make a difference to the feel of the drive etc, what are the pro's and con's, is it worth getting any,

opinions welcome....

OMP gloves.

Even wear them when driving my tintop sometimes.

Very comfy and worth buying.

Improve feel and comfort.

I wear my bike gloves and bashhat.

Did try driving with no gloves ( when it was frosty) and decided it wasn't very wise or comfortable.

Will be getting some goggles for the summer.

I think racing boots are a definite must. Especially with the proximity of the pedals and the delicate control of the throttle required (particularly on a BEC)

Gloves are good too, especially in this weather (hovering around 2 or 3 degrees)

OMP gloves and boots, gloves are really comfy and boots are a must with my size 12's!!!

I used to race cars, but I still have my boots, gloves and overalls. The boots give ankle support and are narrow toe to help with the pedals. The soles are thinner than shoes so that you can feel the pedals better when you heel and toe. Gloves are mainly used for fire protection along with the overalls and nomex underwear.
