Buying a new garage!
millenniumtree - 13/3/06 at 08:50 PM

Large 2 stall garage, and a driveway that can park 9 cars on!!

Oh, it comes with a house too.

Reminds me of that joke,

" Takes me 3 days too plough my field"

" I used too have a tractor like that"

sorry English sense of humor attack.....

Heh. They always say you'll know the perfect house when you see it.
I didn't believe them.
We've seen 20 houses and never truly liked everything about any of them.

We saw this house on Saturday and put an offer in on it a half hour later!

2 storey, 4 bedroom victorian house (~100 years old). It's seriously nice, and it's exactly what we've been looking for.

More importantly, the garage has power and is big enough for the tin top _AND_ the pile of scrap!!

Agree, the place we are in now wasn't where we was looking for a property, we drove by it, saw the sign, the owner was outside in the garden, we asked if we could view, viewed it, got home, picked phone up, put an offer in and bought it...........

Same for me,

Looking a houses, dreaming of what I could not afford and saw a sign.

Asked on the off chance, man with debt needed to move so shook hands, no agents and in within 8 weeks. Saved I would guess 25% on true value... Don't suppose I will ever repeat it.

Mind you moved in in March 2000, did not notice it had no heating as I only looked around it once.... Expected to get blown out at the last minute. and had baliffs turning up looking for the previous owner for 2 years...

Aboardman - nows the time to look away mate.

This is going to break every Englishman's heart when he realises his 'castle' could buy 2 'castles' in the US :-(
