I've finally dragged my mobile phone into this century and bought myself a Motorola V3 Razr. One of the reasons for changing is that it enables
you to use a bluetooth headset when driving.
As I know absolutely nothing about these gizmos (except that they look like a shiny cockroach is attacking you
) are there any particular headsets
to go for or avoid?
I have a Jabra one and its very good indeed.
The sony ones are very nice and well made if you have twice as much to spend...

I have a samsung headset, its mega small and reliable.
The Jabra one looks pretty cool

but is it comfortable? I'm not too keen on the 'in ear' jobbies as they tend to make me itch.
i got a £15 quid one from carphone warehouse
its looks a bit rubbish but it works great and the sound quality is very good plus its a doddle to setup

Got a V3 myself, love it apart from one point........
Battery lasts a pico second when using a blue tooth head set.
But, that's not stopping me getting the V3i next month when I get back from holiday
You mean my V3 is obsolete already?!!
Sheesh
I believe they hold back technology so it was probably obsolete before it was launched.
Sucks doesn't it
Maplin have a bluetooth headset for a tenner at the mo'.
I know nothing about it except it recharges through USB.
I had a Jabra200 and personally I'd advise you to steer well clear.... I had nothing but problems with it.
Recently bought a new one from ebay only cost £10 +P&P and so far it's worked far better than the jabra ever did. Although I would say that I
personally did like the jabra in your ear design.
Should have said the new one is an opticom BT20s think it's available from argos as well.

Ive got Sony phone. Worked fantastically with the Sony headset. Bought a replacement, obscure make but not cheap and its never been as good.
Id recommend borrowing a headset off a mate and trying it out for a couple of days. If its good buy one. Problem with mine is that its hard to hear
the ring and even harder to pick up the call. I often have to call people back when on the road.
I can't get on with the headset things. I bought one of those bluetooth jobbies with a mic and speaker that clips on the sunvisor and it works
well.
(amazing, bluetooth even works in africa)
Okay if you have sunvisors I suppose
Cheers

i have had about 3 different ones so far.
Jabra O.K. looks weird
chepo one - fine
nokia one - brilliant
Only thing i'd say is get one that uses the same charger as your mobile. Much easier when it goes flat when your in the car you only need one
charger
