Quick sums..........

Did a quick calculator job on this took over £41k in parts and £10.5 in postage, not a bad earner for a 20p resistor, ans envelope and a 1st class stamp ?

Now can we total the rebuild costs for the gullible buyers?

Surrey Dave - 27/4/06 at 08:38 PM

Can it work?

Is it fooling the ECU into enrichening the mixture?

It can't make the air cold and give a denser cylinder filling!

looks like about fifty a day, as you say jon a nice little earner. Beats working for a living.

If £4.50 X 29 comes to 41K on your calculator, I would bin it!

I would think he means the 8309 already sold according to the feedback, unless I was being a bit slow on the uptake.
Sorry, the username probably explains it all.

And if you look at the prices some go for over 6 squid, just took an average, cant re check it though, suns gone in.........

Apparently fools the ecu into thinking the engine is still cold and needs more fuel (choke) guess it cant gather any air from anywhere too go with the extra fuel though, why oh why dint I start selling em.

I think you unplug the airtemp sensor and plug in the resistor. The resistance of the resistor fools the ECU into thinking the air is cold, its richens the mixture, but as there is air is actually normal temp and density the mixture is way to too rich.

Extra engine wear and generally not very good for your engine, all for £4.50!

He must be laughing all the way to the bank though! The resistor mod has been round for ages, i guess it just took some people to exploit it ono ebay.
