Seeing as this forum can solve most queries, I thought I'd give this a try.

I'm trying to find out if a person I know is married. I know records exist for both Scotland and England & Wales but is there an up-to-date, online, database source anywhere which is FOC.

Besides asking the person in question, how could I find out?

Ask his or her parents?

or spouse?

Electoral roll, I believe, is FOC but not online, and you'd need to know which town they lived in.

why dont you just ask them
