Just because this doesn't happen often, if ever again, I thought I'd just take the oppurtunity to let one and all know that I've just driven an Aston Martin v8 vantage round Canary Wharf! God, but it's fast and wiggles like a right whatsit! Sounds awesome when going through under passes. I then got to drive a DB9 Volante in the same way! A wicked day out and completely free since the old man works for a company delivering them round europe. I knew he'd come in handy sooner or later. Sorry about the lack of piccies, but he's done a runner to kiev with the camera.

Nowt like the sound of a nice V8

As you mentioned it, I spent a couple hours last Sunday blatting about in my mates F430. Gotta be honest, it scared me. The noise and brutal power delivery coupled with the astronomical cost of the thing left me shaking.
He wouldn't let me use 'launch control' apparently they are only good for a half dozen goes then it buggers the clutch

His dad has an AMV8, time for a comparison me thinks.

The amv8 feels very balanced when 'playing' The sound is amazing, but the db9 is faster. We also moved a vanquish s, which is ba$tard fast, but the old man wouldn't let me drive it. Understandable though really, since I wasn't supposed to be there.

well i got to test drive a vivaro yesterday, which was still fun
