who am i dealing with?
indykid - 17/6/06 at 01:49 PM

we sold a supra on ebay last week, but since have heard nothing from the highest bidder.

he has 0 feedback, but he was bumping up the other genuine bidder's money, so we left him to it, but, you guessed it, he won.

for invoice, he's registered to forest gate, anstey, leicestershire. no reply to ebay msgs and he won't answer his mobile either.

so based on the address, what sort of person are we likely to be dealing with? does anyone know the area?

i knew we should have cancelled his bids, but the car's not mine to sell. if he's gonna be a no show, i'll try second chance the other guy. he might be on holiday now, but his bids went in in the closing hours, so obviously he was there to make contact before he went.

if it's someone on here that bought it, i'm not talking to you again!
tom

ps, i don't need him gnawping just yet, but maybe in time

Check and see if he has been bidding on any other items.he may be just a hoax ...I personally would just email him and tell him that you are giving the next bidder second chance offer if he doesn't contact you..

I had a zero bidder last night bidding on one of my item's. Emailed him and warned him if he did not contact me asap i would cancel his bids,he did no email and i ended up cancelling his bids,

I've had a similar w****r on a one of my items. I now bar all bidders who have a negative feedback or less than 5 bid history... these are the sort of people who ring 999 for fun!

But then again... he could always be genuine! Not!

This is common someone else selling a supra at the same time will use bogus ebay names(normally zero feedback) they bump up the opposition price and sel there car for the proper price.

Tom,when you list the add its best to state that zero to 10/20 feedbacks need to contact you before bidding or the bids will be removed.

Offer a 2nd chance to the next bidder

Anstey is a reasonably up-market village (I live about six miles away) but that doesn't mean anything, good folk live in low class housing and criminals live in mansions. Give him a little longer to reply to your emails etc (may be on holiday ?), then leave negative feedback and as bob says give the second highest bidder a second chance.
