Father's Day - what a load of oldbollox!!!

I don't subscribe to Card Companies making up a day to fill in a gap in the market. Hopefully, one day people will wake up and smell the coffee.

I ordered my children NEVER to buy me a Fathers Day Card... if they want to give me something let it be something they made, and for god's sake NOT ON FATHERS DAY!!! If they can't do something nice once in a while then Fathers Day is a poor excuse to do it.

Needless to say - I got exactly nothing this Fathers Day - which was great!

I have to agree with you Steve. i dont subscribe to the card buying idea. Didnt they try and introduce a Grandparents day once?? i enjoyed the drive out to the show on Fathers Day. I did get a card after asking them to only make one but the 2 bottles of beer were well recieved.

What annoyed me about the cards this year was the distinct lack of a budget option - they were all huge and at least 2 quid!

I could've made one but I think once you get into your 20s it stops being cute and just makes you look like a cheapskate
