My Sony P800 has died. Believed to be terminal. This is OK as i can get a new phone. What is annoying is ive lost my contacts. I have a backup file on
my PC. It is a .ecs file. Does anyone know of a way to convert it so it can be read in something like excel etc??
I also have a version that is a .cdb file if this is easier to convert. I have tried to read it in notepad but it is too scrambled.
I know its a long shot but worth a try.
Cheers,
Darren.
Very interesting. Thanks. Its not me but interesting that others are trying to do the same. I wish i knew more about puters!!!!!
Looks like ill try plan b. Just bought new P800 off ebay. Ill firstly try swapping the screens in the hope the phone is Ok and do a backup. Put screen
back on new phone and download data into it.
Plan C will be to get new phone. Do a back up. Unzip the back up file and cut the old .cdb file with associated index's into it and then restore
to phone. Not as easy as it sounds for a PC numpty like me but the forums seem to have some good advice on 'em. Thanks Calvin for the help -
mucho appreciated.
